GBY in the South of France - at IPAG Business School đđâš
Rona spent the last week in the South of France, Nice, to work with 2nd year Grande Ecole students at IPAG Business School.
The students complete a competitive 5 year programme, during which they spend the 3rd year abroad (6 months studying, 6 months working). The Career Center at IPAG prepared a great "Expat day" with international speakers and various training sessions to help prepare the students for their year in a different country.
The expat day included tips and information on career research tools, services and resources and workshops around the topics of phone and skype interviewing, cover letter, email etiquette, networking and detailed information workshops about internships in Asia and the US.
Additionally the students had private coaching sessions to check their application documents (CV, Cover Letter) but also their overall career strategy.
Here are some impressions from the days in Nice:
The first day consisted of coaching sessions with the students, one to one and also in small groups. It proves that these sessions are really helpful, because career strategy issues are certainly very personal and need to be approached individually.
Hello IPAG - so great to be back! đđŒâïžđ
Getting ready for the coaching sessions. đđ»âš
Successful session! đđœđđŒđđŸ
The "Expat day" consisted of lectures and workshops.
The lecture given by Rona focused on the importance of 'personal branding' when working in an international context. đ„đđĄ
The lecture was followed by engaging workshops in regard to an 'elevator pitch' and working in NGOs and in Asia. đ„đđĄ
Finally, a panel discussion was hosted with IPAG Alumnis that reported from their international working experience and the challenges they had overcome. đđđȘđŒ
It was a real pleasure to work with such bright students, that have such wonderful international experiences ahead. They will master all their challenges - also due to the great preparation offered by IPAG Nice. đđđȘđŒ
In the panel discussion the importance of international experience was highlighted. Today, we are faced with the inalienable necessity of going global and gaining an understanding of complex international business relations.
We wish all the students a wonderful and successful time in the countries they will work and study in. We are sure they will grow a global mindset, which will equip them to become future business leaders and implement innovation and sustainable change in their communities.
LET'S GET READY TO GROW!

Let's grow and let's go beyond together.
